  • Drug addiction, including cocaine addiction of course, can be a a dis-ease or whatever. Recovery from addiction, regardless of cause, involves being, or finding (unwittingly if no other way) motivation to stop.

  • Hopefully someone's noticed (I'm not gonna wade through 1222 comments to find out) that the news article, in one of the last paragraphs noted that people are NOT fired at that hospital for simple mistakes. The implication is that there's considerably more to the story than we read.

  • Ahhhh, yes, adults using children to produce alcohol/drug negative urine to be secreted and used during monitored UA testing for employers, alcohol/drug treatment staff, probation officers, etc., etc., etc. Addiction is a tough one....
